We’re open from Friday 24 November until Saturday 31 December 2023. We are only closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Thor’s Tipi and Leeds Wheel Of Light will open on Saturday 18 November 2023.

The rink closes at 9.15pm Monday to Thursday, 10.15pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 7.15pm on Sundays. Find out more about the opening times.

The rides and attractions close at 9.30pm Monday to Saturday and at 7pm on Sundays.

Please note Ice Cube will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The ice rink has a marquee-styled roof which means that we welcome skaters come rain or shine. In the event of extreme adverse weather, we may need to close the site at short notice but please rest assured we will advertise this on our website and social media channels. Some covered seating is also provided in the bar areas.

Yes card payment is the preferred method of payment for the ice rink and all bars, rides and attractions. Cash payments will also be accepted. There is a cash machine located adjacent to the Carriageworks theatre entrance on Millennium Square.

Yes, tickets (subject to availability) will be able to purchase online or in person from the event ticket office in the Carriageworks Theatre up until the start of the respective skating sessions. We strongly recommend booking your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment however as some sessions, particularly at the weekend and during school holidays, sell out very quickly in advance.

Yes – student tickets can be purchased online, on site and on the phone. Please note, student ticket holders will need to bring and present their photographic student ID with them on the day to verify their tickets.

Yes, skaters are welcome to bring your own skates, noting that this will not alter the price of your ticket.

The ice skates we have available range from children’s size 8 to adults’ size 15. We also have bob skates for children lower than a child size 8 which attach to shoes and are double bladed for extra stability.

We welcome all ages to the ice rink but we do recommend hiring a skating aid to help your toddler get confident on the ice. You can hire a Penguin Stabiliser (max height with skates on is 1.2m) for £3.00 per session. Please note, they are not bookable in advance and are subject to availability. A range of toddlers skates that are dual bladed and strap onto the child’s own shoes or boots are available at the rink.

Snowmen skating aids are also available for those who are too tall for a Penguin. They can be hired for £3.00 per session subject to availability.

Yes. Lockers are available for hire for £2.50 for a small locker and £4 for a large locker.

Yes – wheelchair users are able to access the rink in their own wheelchairs for any public skating session but should be accompanied on ice by a companion / responsible skater at all times for their own and everyone else’s safety.

All disabled tickets include a free companion ticket. There is also a dedicated Accessible session every Thursday at 10.30am for those persons that prefer a more quiet and spacious experience.

Yes the venue has permanent toilet facilities. There are also disabled toilets and a Changing Places Unit which can be accessed by a RADAR key.

Dogs are allowed at Ice Cube although they will not be allowed inside the indoor venues nor the Ice Rink Pavilion, except registered assistance dogs.
